Amrita Arora has been dropped from UTV’s Season’s Greetings because she got pregnant. The actress is shattered with the news as this was the only film she was working on.

Says a source close to Amrita, “UTV was to complete the film in January 2009 and Amrita had given them her dates. They cancelled the schedule and took fresh dates for March, then April, May, August and finally, September. Each time, their schedule would get cancelled. Till October, no shoot happened.” Last Friday, she bumped into director Vicky Chopra and asked him about the film. He told her she was no longer part of the film and had been replaced because of her pregnancy.”
The mom-to-be is devastated with the news! She told Vicky that they should have at least informed her about it. The source adds, “They kept taking Amu’s dates from January to September and cancelling the shoot. She had even told them that she’d shoot from March to May as the bump wouldn’t show until later but they didn’t use her dates then. She has shot for the film and had 10 days of work left. Now her part has been edited out and is being re-shot with another actress.”

The verdict’s out, there was sexual intercourse but no signs of rape

Shiney Ahuja has finally been granted bail. The actor has been asked to deposit his passport with the Investigating Officer and pay a surety of Rs 50,000. The actor has also been asked to stay away from Mumbai for three months. He’ll be re-arrested if he doesn’t leave the city.

According to Shiney Ahuja’s lawyer Shrikanth Shivade, medical reports show no sign of ‘rape’. There was sexual intercourse. But since the maid’s body had no marks or signs of struggle, it couldn’t have been rape.

Shivade claimed that Shiney was ‘framed’ and revealed that the maid who had earlier claimed that she was raped by Ahuja from 3-5pm was herself talking over the phone from 3:15 – 3:45pm.

Ahuja has been in custody since his arrest on June 15. His domestic help has alleged that Shiney raped her at his Andheri West home on June 14

The prosecution on Wednesday had argued that Shiney was an influential person and may tamper with the evidence if given bail.

“The trial could be over in six months, as it is before a fast-track court,” said additional public prosecutor Sangeeta Shinde.
